There have always been floods but we are making them worse.

Floods can do enormous damage.

Experts say the UK will have more floods and storms in future, thanks to global warming. We need to be prepared.

There are several things we can do to control or prevent floods and make floods more flood-proof.

Starter: Watch and listen carefully.

As soon as the clip finishes you must write down as much as you can remember.

1. Stick the diagram in the centre of a double page.

2. Work with your partner to decide where the information cards should go.

3. Stick the information cards around the diagram.

4. Annotate (draw a line with a ruler and a pencil) to the correct place.
