Background Hydro-Logic Services has undertaken numerous Flood Risk Assessments for CEMEX UK Materials (Aggregates) Ltd. These projects include recent assessments for two proposed extensions to the sand and gravel extraction works at Flixton Park quarry, near Bungay, Suffolk. The principal issues to be demonstrated in any flood risk as- sessment are as follows: Whether any proposed development is likely to be affected by current or future flooding from any source. Satisfying the LPA that the development is safe and where possible reduces flood risk overall. Whether the development will increase flood risk elsewhere. The measures proposed to deal with these effects and risks. Any necessary flood risk management measures should be sufficiently funded to ensure that the site can be developed and occupied safely throughout its proposed lifetime. The projects included site visits, consultation with the Environ- ment Agency, and detailed analysis of the proposed develop- ment phasing and final development on all aspects of flood risk. Hydro-Logic Services has undertaken numerous Flood Risk Assessments for CEMEX UK Materials (Aggregates) Ltd. These projects include recent assessments for two proposed extensions to the sand and gravel extraction works at Flixton Park quarry, near Bungay, Suffolk.
