If you do havemore than one run # we highlyrecommend you install planks from 4 or 5dierent cases from dierent run #’s at onetime and randomly mix them into theinstallation as you go. This will insure amore natural looking oor.

HELPFUL HINT #2:When installing ID Excell ence 50 Click be sure to keep dust, dirt or foreign particles away from the Locking Strip. The cleaner theLocking Strip remains, the better thebond between planks. The planks are best kept in the box until you areready to install them. A protectivesheet of paper has been placedbetween each plank insuring the LockingStrip remains clean and ready to use.

Suboor preparation: The suboor surface must be smooth,at, dry, clean and solid. Carpet staplesor adhesive residue must be removed toensure proper installation.

Suboors should be at within atolerance of 3mm over a span of 1,2 m.Any unevenness over 3mm must besanded down or lled with a oorleveler. Voids or humps in the suboorwill prevent ID Excellence 50 Click from locking properly.

Suboors must be carefully checked formoisture problems. ID Excellence 50 Clickis NOT a water-proofer. Any moistureproblems need to be addressed prior toinstallation. New concrete oors need tocure for a minimum of 60 days.

plank should be the same length as the first one. To cut a plank, simply measure and mark the plank, then using a straight edge and utility knife, simply score the plank and snap. It’s that easy!

2. Installation should start in a corner (left hand) and proceed from the wall with the tongue facing out away from the wall (Figure 1). Allow a minimum gap of 6-8mm for subfloor movement or product expansion, which should be covered by molding.

3. When laying the first row in a straightline interlock the short ends by inserting the tongue into the grooves at an angle of approx.15 to 20 degrees. Install each sequential plank on the short end 19cm and be sure to line up evenly. This is very important for a good installation.

4. Be sure to keep the seams tight. Youwill feel and hear the click when locking the planks together to create a tight seam. There should be no gap visible between planks.

If your seam appears not to be tight, you can immediately pull apart the

planks and reapply it. Slowly lift the topplank away from the bottom plank andsimply reapply them—repeating Step#3. Be careful not to pull the planksapart too fast or you could rip ordamage the Locking Strip.

5. When installing ID Excellence 50 Click it isstrongly recommended to stagger the rows so that the short edge 19cm seams are notin a straight uniform line. Werecommend the staggered randommethod 3’-2’-1’ (Figure 2). However youmay want to try other “patterns” ofplanks to suit your taste. ID Excellence 50 Click can be installed with endless possibilities —your only limitation is your own imagination!

6. To start the second row with the plankcut at about 2/3 length 81cm.Measure and mark the plank, thenusing a straight edge and utility knife, score the plank and snap.

7. Interlock the plank tightly against therst row (long side) again at a 15-20degree angle. The next plank, interlockthe short side rst, leaving it slightlyaway from the long side and then slideinto the long side.

HELPFUL HINT #5: When cutting ID Excellence 50 Click for length, be sure to alwayscut the short side of the plank with thegroove edge. The remaining piececan then be used on the opposite sideof the room, at the end of that row(Figure 3) if layout permits.

8. Start the third row with the plankcut at 1/3 of a length 40cm.Again the remaining piece can beused at the opposite end of therow, if the layout of the roompermits.

9. Continue this pattern for theremainder of the rows to beinstalled. Always place the cut endof the rst plank against the wall.

(Figure 4).

10. Fitting around irregular objects is no problem. Simply make a pattern out of heavy paper to t around pipes or irregular objects. Place the pattern upon the plank and trace. Cut along trace lines using a utility knife or heavy duty scissors, and lay plank. Be sure to leave a minimum of 6-8mm expansion space around all xed objects, oor vents and door frames.

11. The beauty of ID Excellence 50 Click is theease of installing the opposite way. You caninstall from both sides of the plank. Thisallows you to start in one room andcontinue through a doorway into anotherroom with the same pattern and continueinstalling the oor forwards orbackwards.

HELPFUL HINT #6:Be sure to keep some spare ID Excellence 50 Click planks in case there is an unforeseenneed for replacement. If you need toreplace a plank of ID Excellence 50 Click simply take a utility knife and cut the bad plank outalong the long side of the plank onlyand lift out of place. Then take a spareplank and cut the tongue and groove oof the long side of the replacement plankonly. Leave the tongue and groove onthe short side of the plank. Then simply tinto place and lock the two short endsinto place.

3. To keep your oor looking its best, dustmop or vacuum your oor at least twicea week. Do it more often on oors withheavy trac. Do not use a householddust cleaner of any kind as this maycause the oor to become slick ordamage the nish. Simply sweep theoor as often as needed.

4. Do not allow pets with unclipped nailsto damage your oor. It may result in severe scratching to thesurface. The same is true for any highheeled shoes that do not have propertips on the heels.

5. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight forprolonged periods of time. During peaksunlight hours, use drapes or blinds tominimize the direct sunlight on theoor. Most types of ooring will beaected by continuous strong sunlight. To avoid an uneven appearance, considerrelocating rugs from time to time.In addition, excessive temperatures arenot good for resilient oors. Some naturalventilation or intermittent airconditioning in vacant homes should be considered. Long term continuousinside temperature over 30° C degreescombined with strong direct sunlightwill damage your ID Excellence 50 Click

oor and cause installation to fail.

HELPFUL HINT #7:To avoid yellowing from asphalt drivewaysor parking lots, always use doormats atentranceways.

It’s a good idea to use a hard surface oor attachment when vacuuming your ID Excellence 50 Click oor.

2. Shoe marks and scus can be easilyremoved using a spot application ofTarkoClean and a green ScotchBrite pad.

3. Regular household dirt can be cleanedwith TarkoClean applied asindicated on the product label. Somehand wiping may be required toremove tough spots and spills. Alwayssweep or vacuum your oorbefore cleaning so that all loose dirtand particles are removed. For bestresults do not use combinationcleaner/nish products.

4. Do NOT WAX YOUR ID Excellence 50 Click FLOOR! The surface of your oor is very denseand non-porous; this prevents wax frompenetrating and thus will build up a bedfor yellowing and dirt collection. Thesame non-porous feature also provides allthe protection against wear and stainingthat you will need. Use only TarkoCleanfor heavy wear when you haveexperienced some loss of the originalappearance over time.
