Firecom's bone conductionmicrophone picks up the vibra-tions produced by the vocal

cords and transmitted through the user's skull. It convertsthem into an electrical signal similar to that producedby a conventional microphone.

Firecom bone conduction headsets, helmet kits andinterfaces provide the necessary signal processing toaddress the distortion produced by the skull, deliveringclear speech. The microphone reduces backgroundnoise and produces clear communication in ambientnoise levels up to 120dB SPL.

BONE CONDUCTION FOR CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS

HELMET KITThe HK-1helmet kit combines the uniquely designed boneconduction microphone with a speaker mounted on aleather covered bracket and attaches to a first responder'shelmet. The HK-1 fits most adjustable ratchet headbandhelmet models and connects to a portable radio using aFirecom PT-X interface. It can also connect to to any otherFirecom intercom system (30XXR, 3000C, 210, 110, andpanther series). Quick to fit and comfortable to use, theHK-1 provides clear communication in high-noise environ-ments and when using SCBA equipment.

HEADSET COMMUNICATIONSThe UH-15 is a noise attenuating under-helmet radio transmit headset with a bone conduction microphone. The bone conduction microphone is attached to an adjustable headstrap between the ear domes and makes contact with the back of the user's head. The high noise attenuating properties of both the microphone and the ear domes make this headset ideal for engineers,pump operators and high noise machinery users.

HEADBAND COMMUNICATIONSThe HB-1 is an elastic headband, fitted with a bone conduction micro-phone and acoustic earpiece driver. It uses an acoustic tube and non-intrusive skeleton earpiece from the receiver to the ear, allowingthe user to listen to incoming transmissions, while leavingboth ears unobstructed.

DIRECT WIRE RADIO INTERFACEThe pantherC series is a fully digitalintercom system designed for usein rugged, all weather conditions.The durable construction is specif-ically designed for aerial fireapparatus and other challenging,high-noise environments whereclear communication is required.

The pantherC series intercom utilizes a two wire, digital networkarchitecture. The digital systemprovides clear communication for all personnel without sounddegradation due to difficultweather conditions, vehicle orother ambient noise. The pantherseries provides digital qualitysound, while reducing distortionthat is common with analog intercoms.

Because of its digital architecture,multiple panther series units maybe installed “in series” to providecommunication over a large areawithout clarity or signal loss.

Both an adjustable swivel stylemounting bracket and two anglebrackets are provided. A flushmount bracket is also available.

The direct wire radio interface is the easiest way to addaudible mobility and hearing protection to your portableradio. The system includes a specially modified headsetwith a customized adapter that connects directly to yourexisting portable radio. There’s no belt box or maze ofcords.

The direct wire radio interface is specifically designed foron-scene command situations or anywhere remote com-munication and hearing protection is required.

The handheld radio interface provides the same communicationbenefits as the direct wire inter-face, but uses an in-line adapterinstead of a customized headset.It accepts a standard Firecomplug, so you can use your existingFirecom headset. The lightweightadapter is housed in a durablemetal shell and features a ruggedbelt clip designed for easy use.Just plug your headset in andwherever you go, the ability tocommunicate with dispatch oryour crew goes with you.

HANDHELD RADIO INTERFACE

UH-10 HEADSETThe UH-10 is an under-helmetradio transmit headset withadjustable volume and a noise-canceling electret microphone. The extremely comfortable and durable headset has an adjustable headstrap, flex-style boom thatrotates for left or right dress and liquid foam ear seals.

FH-10S HEADSETThe FH-10S is a single-ear radiotransmit headset with a flex-styleboom that rotates for left or rightdress. The headset has anadjustable volume on a singledome and a noise-canceling electret microphone.

LW-10 HEADSETA lightweight single-ear headset with in-line volume control, PTT, and noise canceling electret microphone. Ideal for ambulance attendant. Not for use as a hearing protector.

HM-10/PP-20The HM-10 is a headset plug-inmodule for interior mounting onany apparatus. The PP-20 is awater resistant plug-in module forall exterior positions.
