Americans do not consume enough essential fats, leading to an EFA deficiency.
It is estimated that 9out of10 Americans don’t consume enough omega-3

Why is omega-3 called “essential”?
• Omega-3 is a group of omega fatty acids of which one is essential: Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA).
• ALA: considered “essential” when researchers discovered its importance in the normal growth and development of young children.
• The body cannot manufacture essential fats–must be consumed in the diet.
Why Flax Oil?
• Flaxseeds are the richest plant source of omega-3 EFA’s.
• Flaxseeds and flaxseed oil contain high amounts of alpha-linolenic (ALA) the actual omega-3 essential fatty acid.
• The body can take the ALA found in flaxseed and convert it into other important omega-3 fatty acids: EPA and DHA.
• A safe, healthy vegan alternative to fish oil.
• Sustainable and eco-friendly.
• Unrefined–naturally free of heavy metals and environmental toxins.
According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimate, more than 70 percent of the world’s fish species are either fully exploited or depleted. The rate of depletion has increased more than fourfold in the last 40 years, clearing oceans twice as rapidly as forests.
