lmost 3 years ago, in the year 2011, we have started to develop the machining activities in Teknia Kalisz plant in Poland.

The first and most important activity was to make facility (Wickmans and Tornoses lathes) run. Thanks to not only hard but also very efficient work from the team, it is working now without major problems. In line with the growth of our understanding of the mechanical multi-spindle machines our production and sales is also growing. Teknia Kalisz is making a new step in our development introducing here CNC technology. Teknia is starting with TRAUB machine that will be producing the strategic product – gear shifters.

To highlight the cooperation between Kalisz and Barcelona on this project – it went smoothly and without any major issues

Members of Teknia had a very rewarding meeting with the Director of purchasing of Renault for Morocco.

The visit to the Mellousa plant, which employs 7.200 people, was of great interest for the members of companies belonging to ACICAE. The Director of the plant and the Director of Production displayed the strengths of this plant that aims to rise above its sister plant in Romania within a year (2015)

eknia Jacarei has just been awarded a new oil fluid reservoir project from Bosch. It is a Fiat and Toyota project, with start of production in 2015 and 2016 respectively and with a total volume of 350,000 units.

This is an amazing milestone for TEKNIA JACAREI and has been the result of great teamwork. It is a new proof of the success of Teknia strategy to globalize the production of brake reservoirs from its different manufacturing locations in Teknia Mexico, Teknia Jacarei, Teknia Azuqueca and Teknia Rzeszow, to all relevant Automotive markets worldwide

n 18th March 2014 a strategic meeting took place between TEKNIA and Continental Automotive in Rambuillet, France. The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the logistical performance of TEKNIA group and to define the steps to take to improve the current level.

Teknia was evaluated as one of the best suppliers in the framework of Continental.

For this reason, the customer is urging us to maintain the current level and to attempt to improve material delivery via consignment stock.

This result means that Teknia is a leading supplier for new developments with Continental. This evaluation is the result of the combined effort of everybody in the Logistics Department. Thank you for the good work!!

n Thursday 6th March 2014 the top management representatives of the company WABCO, Mr. Nicolas Flour, Group Commodity Director, and Mr. Partick Beve, Global Commodity Leader, visited Teknia Uhersky Brod.

The reason for such a visit of these high-level managers was the successful completion of the audit based on VDA 6.3 standard resulting in supplier category A.

After a short acquaintance with the Teknia Group and Teknia Uhersky Brod, Mr. Flour presented the global strategy of WABCO in which high requirements to suppliers played a special role. The highest level of professional work of the

management team of Teknia Uhersky Brod, under the leadership of Mr. Rajsigl, was emphasized during the meeting. The good cooperation between Teknia Mexico and Wabco was also mentioned.

Mr. Flour and Mr. Beve invited the project team of Teknia Uhersky Brod to visit the WABCO plant in Wroclaw and proposed to arrange a meeting on a high management level between Teknia and the company

Wabco. This visit is opening the doors for TEKNIA Group not only for cooperation in Eastern Europe, but also In Mexico and Brazil

he TEKNIA team season debut took place on the 5th April at the renovated Jarama Madrid racetrack. The TRT RACE Trohpy was contested by high-level participants and vehicles, with a special mention for the VW Scirocco GT24, Peugeot 408 Silhouette and the high number of Clio RS Challenges.

The team came into this race filled with excitement for the new season and ready to improve on its times and positions from the previous season. This task was made complicated, when in the briefing the pilots were informed that this would be a wet race with a very slippery surface due to the fine rain. However, all the teams opted for slick tires.

The car performed extraordinarily well in qualifying, improving upon last year’s times in the dry and reaching 6th position in its category behind the Porsche 968s and the Scirocco GT24. Their luck did not last in the race, as two laps from the finish and after a fierce contest to keep its position ahead of vehicles such as the Seat Leon Supercopa,

Clio RS Challenge and the Mini JCW Challenge, the front-right tyre blew out at more than 220 km/h, sending it off track at the end of the straight and preventing the car from finishing the race due to a mechanical fault caused by the incident.

There is another race scheduled for June, in which the team will give all their effort to improve upon the results
