Minimize VOC

To minimize VOC emissions, vapour recovery stage 1 is man-datory in most countries. One part of stage 1 is to collect the vapour from the service station into the road tanker during delivery. A pressure/vacuum (p/v) valve will prevent unnecessary VOC emissions to the atmosphere and protect the storage tank by balancing pressure tops and drops. It is a normal safeguard measure which enhances vapour recovery.

Proven P/V valve

The Wennstrom p/v valve is a based on a patented gravity solu-tion that enables a wide range of pressure and vacuum values, depending on the fi eld of use and the local requirements.

Flame arrester

Ignitions sources, such as sparks caused by electrostatic dischar-ge or lightning or mechanical knocks, in potentially explosive atmospheres can have disastrous eff ects. An investment in a fl ame arrester is a safeguard against such an accident.

Cost effi cient

The design of the unit and the choice of material is based on the fl ow rate and pressure/vacuum requirements of service station storage tanks. This fact plus the integration of the End of Line endurance burning fl ame arrester with the p/v valve gives a very cost effi cient solution to the safety issue and to the VOC issue.

Total risk analysis

In combination with ES118 – VR1 adaptor with fl ame arrester, and the HSE Interlock valve at the fi lling point, the storage tank will be eff ectively safeguarded against probable risks for explo-sion.

Approvals and Patent

The fl ame arrester has been approved by the Notifi ed Body IBExU in Germany documented in certifi cate IBExU08ATEX2055 X. The pressure/vacuum valve is protected by patent.
