1. IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer

This is IWCs F1 watch in collaboration with Mercedes AMG Petronas. It displays stopped times in hours and minutes on a totalizer, while times up to one minute are measured by the central stopwatch hand. It also features a tachymeter scale that shows the average speed covered over a distance of 1,000 meters. Thanks to the flyback function, pressing the reset button brings the stopwatch hand back to zero and immediately restarts timing, making it perfect for recording pit-stop times.Specs:Movement: IWC-manufactured 89361Size: 45mmPower Reserve: 68 hoursStopwatch Function with hours, Minutes and SecondsAlligator StrapPrice: $8,500 USD

2. Tag Heuer Carerra CH 80

This is TAG Heuers latest racing watch in its collection which boasts an in-house chronograph movement. The 80 stands for an 80 hour power reserve.According to Hodinkee: The in-house chronograph movement thats not only technologically astute, but also well proportioned (at a rather slim 6.5mm). In addition to a column wheel, the chronograph mechanism includes a vertical clutch that allows for very precise start and stop of the chronograph seconds hand, with nearly no perceivable jitters. The vertical clutch tends to be perceived as a high-end alternative to the oscillating pinion, which was used inTAGs Calibre 1887.Specs:Case Size: 41mmMovement: Calibre CH80Power Reserve: 80 HoursPrice: $5,500 USD

3. Seiko SDGZ013

Not a lot of people look into Seiko for racing watches so I would like to mention this one. This is one of Seikos new chronographs which was just released last year. It has three vertical clutches which means that each chronograph hand is driven by its own vertical clutch, and not just the seconds hand as is often the case. The result is that all chronograph hands move with a continuous sweep. Definitely something unique to Seiko.

4 & 5: Jaeger-LeCoultres Aston Martin Watches and Bremonts Jaguar E-Type Homage WatchesI decided to put these watches together because they are also collaboration watches just as the first one I mentioned. The ones we discussed last Sunday were the Panerai Ferrari watch and the Breitling Bentley watch which are not quite exciting to mention if you are going to do a presentation. These watches on the other hand are definitely much more interesting. The Jeager-LeCoultre Aston Martin AMVOX 5 (lower right) is made with cermet material which is used in making the racing cars. It has a 40-micron ceramic protective layer and is water resistant up to 50m. It has a power reserve of 65 hours and is limited to only 500 pieces. Price starts at $22,000 USD.

The Master Hometime (upper left) is my favorite from their collection. It is a very elegant and understated piece for the GMT lover. With its Aston Martin-inspired design, this watch features a slim satin-brushed finished stainless steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter that wears relatively smaller on the wrist compared to the AMVOX 5 which is 44 mm and has a power reserve of 48 hours. It costs significantly lower at $9,000 USD.

Bremont is a relatively new company from England founded in 2002. They started making a name for themselves by making fantastic pilot watches and now they have a collaboration with Jaguar. The MK1 (left) and MK2 (right) are both inspired by the Jaguar E-Types tachometer having similar fonts and the red zone in between 3 and 4 oclock. The MK1 is a simple watch with a sub-dial for the seconds with a date at 6 oclock and the MK2 has a chronograph.

The most interesting feature for me is actually the caseback of these two watches. As you can see Bremont tried to resemble the steering wheel as part of the mechanism. The Calibre of the Chronograph is based on the ETA 7750 which is used by TAG Heuer as well. Price for the Bremont Jaguar MK1 is $10,950 USD, while the Bremont Jaguar MK2 chronograph is $6,550 USD.
