The City Council’s RoleWe have a statutory duty to support neighbourhood planning:
• Provision of advice and information, including explanation of existing planning policies;
• Carrying out of consultations in relation to neighbourhood area and forum applications, and in relation to the neighbourhood plan;
• Organisation of the neighbourhood plan examination and referendum stages; and
• Use of the neighbourhood plan when making planning decisions
