Ensure that brackets are positioned a suitable distance away from any window/ door handles or any other obstructions to allow the blind to operate smoothly.

Deciding where to mount the brackets:

Add 30mm to the width of the blind fabric. Mount the brackets so that the outside of the brackets are this distance apart.Hold each bracket into place and mark the hole positions using a pencil. Fit each bracket using 2 screws provided.

If a pilot hole is required, use a 2.5mm drill bit. Ensure the brackets are level to ensure the smooth operation of the blind. For fixing to alternative surfaces i.e. plaster/concrete, alternative suitable fixings should be used.

Step Two. Fitting the blind

When the brackets have been fitted to the window area, holding the fully-wound blind, locate the ‘pin’ (the end of the blind opposite to the controls) into the bracket first. Then fix the control end into the opposite bracket. The locating hook should point downwards and locate into the cross section of the bracket, hooking in place.

To calculate the spacing between the brackets:

Bracket Covers

If you ordered bracket covers with your blinds, follow this easy step to fit them. Simply slide the covers over the bracket once fitted. The bracket cover doesn’t affect the operation of your blind and is an aesthetic accessory only.

Step Three. Fitting the child safety clip

1. Ensure the control chain is inside the P-clip.

2. Ensure the chain is taut and that the P-clip is at the bottom of the loop and that the chains can manoeuvre properly.

3. Screw the P-Clip to a wall adjacent to the blind ensuring that the chain remains taut. The chain will be held permanently taut and under constant tension.

*In case your chain is non-standard length, we will supply you with two easy break chain connectors.

Step Four. To operate the blind

The child safety device (p-clip) must be installed at maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent the looped cord/ chain from becoming slack.

Gently pull the chain to raise and lower your blind.

If you feel that your blind is too stiff to operate, check that the locating hook is fitted pointing downwards and that the open section of the cog is at the bottom. This will allow the chain to move freely.
