Rosenbauer simulator trainingRosenbauer uses the ERDS (Emergency Response Driving Simulator) simulator to train for firefighting operations in municipal areas. For the simulation of dangerous opera-tions for airport firefighters, Rosenbauer has the PANTHER Tactical Simulator. They are both simulation systems of the highest level. The aim of the simulator training is to positively influence operational behaviour through training and education as well as standardizing knowledge and ex-pertise. Training participants learn how they avoid critical situations or react appropriately to them.

Certified knowledge.

Experienced trainers accompany the courses with ex-tensive explanations and background information about course content that is highly practical and methodical - at the Rosenbauer Training Center or on-site. In addition to traditional presentations, course material also comes in the form of e-learning and practical examples. If desired by the individual participant, the learning success can be tested at the end of the course and acknowledged by a certificate.

For Metz hydraulic platforms, Rosenbauer offers hydraulic platform training for aerial ladders and for hydraulic platforms. Training is offered for the most varied of topics. Rosenbauer‘s hydraulic platform training takes place in the Metz Training Center in Karlsruhe or a Metz trainer can train the fire depart- ment on-site. The extensive training program includes, among others:

You will receive individually tailored training during perfection training, in which the desired issues can be requested in advance and put together for an individually targeted training plan.

Experience reality.

ERDS Simulator and PANTHER Tactical Simulator.

Safely moving a fire fighting vehicle in operation is not only risky, but also extremely demanding mentally and physically. For more driving practice and safety, Rosenbauer offers a world-class simulation system with the simulator training to train driving behaviour and to optimize reactions.

▪ Reaction times and processes in risky operational situations are optimized.

▪ Participants learn how to recognize critical situations in operation, how to avoid them or how to react appropriately.

▪ Recognising problems and reacting predictably are trained in danger situations.

There is no realistic training for dangerous situations during emergency journeys. Experimental emergency journeys are prohibited. As a result, the true test for the driver is always a real emergency. To train with ERDS, Rosenbauer has created a virtual city, in which dangerous situations can be recreated realistically. So participants can train the proper behaviour during critical situations that are too dangerous to attempt in real life.

The ERDS simulator gives a realistic impression of the most diverse of driving situations. Situations like difficult weather conditions, dangerous traffic situations, and special hazards can be incorporated into customized training sessions.

The truck driving compartment is mounted on a moving platform. Situations in which driving behaviour changes are realistically and dynamically brought to life.

All parameters and data are recorded so the session can be analysed and evaluated at a later time. Each training is discussed with the trainer afterwards and can be analysed and reflected on from all angles.

Through the instruction of the trainer, who accompanies the exercise, the participant is immersed in the operation. Turn on the engine, get the multi-ton PANTHER moving and master the training scenario as quickly and effectively as possible, that is the aim.

The PANTHER Tactical Training will be discussed in detail with the trainer at the end of training. An unprecedented review option is offered by the so-called „Flying Eye“.

Airport operations with the PANTHER.

In the Panther simulator, participants practice operating the vehicle as well as operational or fire fighting tactics for airport fires. The simulator can be programmed to inte-grate all runway traffic. Thanks to the range of events that can be simulated, it is possible to constantly set new and unique training focuses.

For a realistic simulation experience, the participant sits in a PANTHER driving compartment. The cockpit therefore matches every detail of the vehicles that are in operation in airports around the world.

Particularly as aircraft accidents at airports are rare, optimal preparation is the key to a successful operation. Every action must be just right in an emergency.

So that the crew can react intuitively in dangerous situations, Rosenbauer uses the PANTHER Tactical Simulator, a simulation system of the highest level. With this simulator it is possible to train for situations that could never be re-created in real life, such as the use of foam agents.
