Electronics and Electric Drives from the academic year 2009-2010 with an intake of 18 and M.Tech

All the replacement materials stated below were tested for Strength, Durability parameters (i.e.,

Acid, sulphate, Chloride attack tests, Rapid Chloride Permeability Test).

1. Replacement of Cement was done by different mineral admixtures like fly ash, silica fume, Ground

Granulated Blast furnace slag, Rice ash, Metakaolin, Aluminium Dross all these admixtures are

waste by products of different industries.

2. Replacement of Coarse aggregate was done by fly ash pellets and recycled aggregates.

1. It is proposed to procure a loading frame of 10 tonnes capacity for testing beams, (T beam, L

beam) Columns, Slabs under various loading conditions and to determine long and short term

deflections.

2. We are planning to establish Dynamic loading setup and related software in order to find the

dynamic frequencies for structural elements.

3. We are planning to procure XRD and SEM analysis related softwares in order to find the possible

chemical compounds and bonding properties in cement concrete composites.

Expected outcome:

1. To know the effective dosage (replacements) of mineral admixtures and their effective utilization

in the concrete field.
