    Pioneer Trout Fishing Competition Rules and Event Information

    Before entry to the Pioneer Trout Fishing Competition can be accepted all participants orguardians must sign the indemnification form, and pay the registration fee.

    Fishing Rules: All anglers involved in the Pioneer Trout Fishing Competition must abideby the current rules of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 and Regulations which can be

    found at http://www.its.tas.gov.au or viewed at the registration tent.

    We ask that all fish be humanely killed; if in doubt Fisheries staff are available, just ask.

    Any trout caught must comply with the Game Fishing Association of Australia and be aminimum of 220 mm long.

    Any one angler is not permitted to exceed the maximum number of 12 fish per day.

    Lure, fly and boat fishing will be accepted during this competition. Powerboats arepermitted as long as they obey boating rules and respect anglers on the shore.

    Personal floatation devices (PFD) must be worn while under power with electricmotors.

    Anglers participating in the Pioneer Trout Fishing Competition will not require a fishinglicense. All anglers will be covered under the Pioneer Trout Fishing Competitions EventLicense.

    Fishing Times are Saturday October between the hours of 9am to 5pm. Anyfish caught outside of these times will not be eligible for prizes. Prize giving will be at4.45pm on competition day at Pioneer Lake.

    Boundaries: The Pioneer Trout Fishing Competition is to be held only within the PioneerLake.

    Please leave our lake as you found it, take your litter home with you.
