Turn 24 - On the back foot

My ally, aware that I am in big trouble sends some resources to help out. Meanwhile my researchers

complete research into the fourth circle of blood.

9 death gems and 21 humanbred warriors are also welcome additions to my current resources.

While the casting of rage assists somewhat, it is not enough, only one of the great beasts is brought

down, however a second hydra, enraged by my demonbreds magic, decimates the commanders elite

emerald guard bodyguards. I lose only the province defence however, my minions safely retreating.

My army, in the meantime, drives through the northern mountain pass with few losses, they will soon

be in position to threaten the enemy capital.

I must do something to slow the advance of these damn hydrae, I have no choice but to commit

Dalkiel and his bodyguard of 9 devils, all I have been able to gather so far, to try to stop them.

Word also reaches me of a war in the west between the Bandar Log who worship a false spirit of the

bull named eishu and the evil spirit Miasma that has enslaved the CTis lizardfolk; it seems the entireworld is at war.

Once again the only forging this month is done by Bet-El, producing the sixth skull mentor.

Turn 25 My first communion experience

My personal search for sights of power pays off once again, tethering the cloud of negative energy so

that I can draw on its power will have negative consequences on the local inhabitants, but provide

me with much needed power.

13 air gems and 16 astral pearls, is not a bad months work either

On ravens wings the news spreads from my main field army, the enemy has deployed devastating

sorcery against me, a thunderstike communion marshalled from the enemies capital and supported

by a large number of infantry.

Dalkiel on the other hand, performs beyond all expectations, he and his devil bodyguard throw

themselves at the hydrae tearing off heads and killing several of the great beasts before being driven

away.

When the massed province defence reaches the battle they find the mighty beings already on the

verge of breaking and when they throw themselves at the creatures, it is too much, the remaining

hydrae break, all but two of them being caught and destroyed by the ravaging mob.

I order our remaining mobile forces to avoid action for now, and to reform and reconsolidate as I

need to assess the new threat posed by this communion.

Bet-El forges my seventh skull mentor with the hammer.

Turn 26 - I need a plan

The fifth circle of blood magic is researched and work begins on the sixth.

The thuderstrike communion continues on.

The general retreat continues while I scramble to devise a counter, Bet-El forges skull mentor number

eight using the hammer.

Turn 27 Council of Desperation

More aid comes from my stalwart ally as again I find significant sites of power in the land.

I gather no less than 58 water gems this month, although I decide to convert some of these into

pearls.

Facing a massive force of medium and heavy infantry backed by a thunderstrike communion, I see no

choice but to proceed with a desperate plan, every single one of my demonbreds are rallied, and,

along with the few apprentices able to reach the battle, I order the formation of a bloodletting

sabbath. Every single blood slave that can be gathered is allocated to a master and my minions

prepare themselves, all that is left is to hope that it is enough.

Bet-El forges yet another skull mentor, bringing the total up to nine.

Turn 28 - That was close

The sixth circle of blood is completed, but the researchers continue. More aid comes in from my ally.

More death gems are always usefull as they are one of the few gems I am constantly using, this time

I am able to gather 6.

The bloodletting sabbath worked, although not as well as I had hoped, while it shattered Pythiums

infantry, only a couple of the mages were taken out, I need to press the issue, before Uriel has the

opportunity to properly consolidate.

Orders are issued, and what is left of my infantry will move forward to try to catch the armies of

Pythium off guard.

In the meantime Bet-El forges his tenth skull mentor, making sure the magic of the dwarven hammer

is well utilized.

Turn 29 - Ugh

Another site and 5 earth gems are the spoils this month.

Damn, the communion is reformed, although a little weaker, here we go again.

This time, it is up to Dalkiel again, he gathers up the all of my devil troops into a raiding party of 16

and prepares to go up against the communion.

Bet-El uses the hammer to forge his eleventh skull mentor.
