We Welcome Dr. Brad Creed, September 29 Brad Creed is Provost and Executive Vice President and Professor of Religion at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a native of Jacksonville, Texas, and received his education at Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a PhD in the History of Christianity from Southwestern Seminary. He has been active in Baptist life having served on various state and national denominational committees, and has been the interim pastor of churches in Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia, Florida, and Alabama. Dr. Creed is married to the former Kathy Harton, also a native of Jacksonville, Texas, and they have two children, Charlie and Carrie Grace. Let's Play Golf Sunday October 13, at the Williams Creek Wee course at 2:00 pm. The format is a foursome scramble with a shotgun start. The cost is $35. There will be no prize ceremony or meal afterwards, but we can gather in the clubhouse and have refreshments from their supplies and a little bragging time together. Deadline for sign-ups is Wednesday, October 9. Please call Andy Edmondson at 693-3518 or [email protected].
