What we do

o Medium voltage TR-XLPE- Primarily used as supply cables for medium voltage power reticulation up to 33kV.

o Low voltage PVC and XLPE cables - Industrial commercial & domestic applications – Small mains cables.

o Building wires - Wiring lighting, switches & power outlets in buildings, houses, sheds etc.

o Flexible cables - Used in situations where flexibility & durability is required, it is highly flexible and doesn’t kink.

o Multicore control cables - Used as connection type of cable between control cabinets where a number of control signal are

required.

o Steel wire armoured cables - e.g. switch board to main control cabinet, main between floor and building, cable cabinet to

motors.

o Industrial cables- Industrial applications – connects machines to control stations that may be integrated into a

larger sophisticated computer monitoring & control systems, it carries signals as opposed to power and are used between

the sensor and the controller/output.

Nexans New Zealand has the ability to respond to customers needs. This was the case in October 2014 when a fire broke out in

a major substation in Auckland and the MV cable was destroyed. Nexans were then approached by the customer to

manufacture the replacement cable.
