Assalamualaykum,

Dear Brothers and Sisters let me share with you few updates from MM India:

At Mercy Mission India Madinah we have 10 dedicated brothers and sisters

working full time out of which 3 brothers work for editing department, 1 sister for

IT services, 2 sisters as teachers in Guardian Preschool and 4 brothers in

operations Alhamdulillah.

Most of the Islamic classes are organised at Madinah on the weekends to ensure

all working and business people can grab the opportunity. Currently our weekend

classes consists of “Precious Pearls” Islamic classes only for sisters which happens

on Saturdays, Understand Quran lessons on Sundays for brothers and sisters and

Dawah lessons. “Fehmul Quran” word to word Quran only for sisters happens

twice a week.

Alhamdulillah the fourth Dawah training/learning program was also conducted at

Mercy Mission Madinah under the” Allah Alone Dawah-Islah campaign”. It was a

full day intensive training event in which all the attendees were fully active and

sincere in their efforts to learn and grasp as much as they could of the many

aspects of “Dawah”

Recently “Allah Alone” Dawah activities happened in Worli and Surat.

Allah Alone Team members joined up with Alkauthar Team Members in

Kolkata to set up a kiosk at Kolkata International Book Fair, the biggest

Book Fair in India in terms of size and sales of books. We spent the last

three days in Kolkata, out of the twelve day event and played an

instrumental role in taking Dawah to the next level.

Allah Alone Team members participated in “Times Lifestyle Expo” in

Bandra where Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) lifestyle was portrayed.

More than 50 panels were displayed on different themes like Tawheed,

Risalah, Akhirah and Quran and Modern Science in the exhibition and

MashAllah many people benefited from that and 596 people requested

for a copy of the Quran in a language of their choice.

WWFD - the Telemedicine service being offered by Mercy Mission India

– has organized, ‘Women’s Wellness & Fitness Drive‘ on 10th March,

2012 on occasion of World Health Day. Ophthalmologist, Gynecologist,

Counselor, Diet Consultants, and Fitness Trainers & Physiotherapists

participated for this event. Several talks were delivered & panel

discussions addressed by experts on Health Care & Hygiene.

MISSION MANDALA - On occasion of World Health Day, MM India

had organized Mission Manadala on 16th Jumada I 1433 – H (i.e.

8th April 2012). A one day Free Medical Camp in slums of

Mumbai. Alhamdulillah it was a great success. Mandala is a slum

at Mankhurd, in the north-eastern part of Mumbai outskirts. It is

located about 30 km from downtown Mumbai and has a

population of around 40,000 people. Although the duration of

camp was just 6hrs & we had limited space to accommodate the

crowd, Alhamdulillah we attended around 300 patients, provided

them free medicines, health related advises etc. Free eye checkup

was the most beneficial part of the camp. More than 100 patients

were checked, prescribed medicine & spectacles, referred for free

treatment in hospitals.

Alhamdulillah Guardian Preschool in Mumbai has completed its first

academic year 2011-12 successfully. Admissions are open for Play

group, nursery, Jr. & Sr. KG for 2012-13 academics. A unique concept

wherein toddlers would be

admitted at the age of 3 years and

would pass out of the Pre-Primary

years by the age of 6 with 5 -10 Juz

(Para) of the Quran memorized,

InshaAllah.

Teacher’s recruitment, training & admissions are on at the moment for

the school.

29th FEB 2012, Nikah was performed of a New Muslim sister who had

accepted Islam in Pune about two years ago. MashaAllah the bride &

groom have returned to Haryana where he works in an IT company in

Gurgaon.
