First of all, I would like to tell you that I did a personal work which corresponds to me and which represents my own experience. That’s why I’ve prepared a slide show which contains many photos, because for me, each of them represents a moment that I lived in Andalusia ; so, it was very difficult to make a choice !

• First of all, I would like to tell you that I did a personal work which corresponds to me and which represents my own experience. That’s why I’ve prepared a slide show which contains many photos, because for me, each of them represents a moment that I lived in Andalusia ; so, it was very difficult to make a choice !

• We left, our class and the “terminale L” class, accompanied by some of our teachers, to Andalusia to discover three cities of this region of Spain: Seville, Cordoba and Grenada. We travelled for one week, from March 24th till March 29th 2008.

Departure from Moirans

near 2:30 pm

• We left Moirans at about 2:30 pm. I was very excited to go to Andalusia in order to share an exceptional experience with my friends and with other persons too.

• This trip was very tiring because it lasted for more than 22 hours, during which we remained sitting trying not to be bored or to sleep, which was very difficult, even impossible. However, I was able to observe each person and to discover their habits and their reactions to this long trip but also to see the variety of the Andalusian landscapes.

Variety of the Andalusianlandscapes

• We arrived in Seville around 12:30 am, we lost the way to our youth hostel but, once arrived, we ate and then we settled in our rooms.

Welcome to Seville or Sevilla

• Then Gaëlle, Alizée and I, we left the youth hostel to visit the city on our own. Of course, as soon as the need occurred, we had a dialogue in Spanish with people to ask for directions, prices and even the ingredients of the tapas that we ate. It was a wonderful and sunny afternoon !

Free visit of Seville with Alizée and Gaëlle

• The next day, we visited the city of Cordoba and a museum telling about the history and culture of Andalusia thanks to models.

Welcome to Cordoba or Córdoba

• Then, we discovered the mosque-cathedral of Cordoba and when I entered this monument, I felt a shudder and a lot of emotion because it was as if this place contained all the history, culture, religion and influences in Andalusia, more particularly the Muslim aspects.

Visit of Cordoba

• The following day we visited some monuments of Seville : the cathedral, la Giralda and el Alcázar.

SEVILLE

• The last day before leaving, we went to Grenada by bus to visit the famous Alhambra but before that, I left with some of my friends to make a brief visit of the city.

GRANADA

• I was particularly impatient to visit the Alhambra as it is a very well-known

monument for its architectural beauty, and I was not disappointed ! It is an amazing and majestic place with gigantic dimensions in which we are carried along as in an almost unreal and magnificent universe !

Alhambra

• Finally, this trip was first of all a cultural enrichment because I learnt a lot about the Andalusian history and religion thanks to the monuments and to my curiosity.

• But it was also a social enrichment because I was able to exchange with Spanish, to develop new relationships with my schoolmates and my guides, to live in community and to share.
