Day #1

Language Arts- Handwriting Joke Sheet #1

Rhyming Words Penguin Sheet and Penguin Poems Sheet

Snowman Activity: Number the picture cards in order 1 – 4. Write directions on how to build a

snowman using the words first, next, then, last.

Social Studies- Make a map of your bedroom.

Religion – Call your Godparents and say a prayer together for your own special intentions.

Day #3

Math- Record the time sheet

Language Arts- Handwriting Joke sheet #2

Writing prompt sheet “When It’s Cold Outside”

Read a story (or part of a chapter book) and make a bookmark about what you read. Use an

index card, construction paper, or whatever you have on hand. Be sure to include the book title

and an illustration about the story.

Science- States of Matter activity sheet

Religion – Find 3 facts about a saint and write them.

Day #4

Math- Snowman Sum Game

Language Arts- Read a story and complete the noun Flip Flap worksheet.

Log on to BrainPop @ www.Brainpopjr.- Login: holyspiritschool Username: spirit

Go to “Words”. Next choose “Synonyms and Antonyms” Watch video then take online quiz.

Write 3 pairs of synonyms and 3 pairs of antonyms on paper.

Put the following words in ABC order:

cold, snow, hat, boots, mittens, coat, scarf, winter, ice, gloves

Social Studies- Choose one of the prompts from the other page and write about it.

Religion – Say three prayers for those in need.

Day #5

Math- Telling time-Draw hands on clock

Language Arts- Name Three of each Page (choose 10 to complete)

Proofreading- A Terrific Trip

Read for 15 minutes and tell someone about what you read

Religion – Write a prayer for your parents.

Please make sure assignments for specials areas are completed. The day for specials is listed

below. You only need to do the specials assignment for the day we are off. i.e. if a snow day

falls on a Monday, 1K does “Art” assignment and 1M does “Library” assignment.
