USPS Tracking for Priority Mail is FREE.Weight and Size Limits: Parcels weighing 70 lbs. or less and measuring not more than 108 inches in length plus girth combined can be shipped to any destination in the U.S. using Priority Mail.Parcels addressed for delivery to zones 1-4 (including local) that weigh less than 20 lbs. and measure more than 84 inches in combined length and girth (but not more than 108 inches) are charged at the applicable zone rate for a 20 lbs. parcel (balloon rate).Parcels addressed for delivery to zones 5-8 that exceed 1 cubic foot (1,728 cubic inches) are charged based on the actual weight or the dimensional weight (as calculated in Domestic Mail Manual 123.1.4), whichever is greater.

Priority Mail Marking: All packages sent by Priority Mail should be prominently marked “Priority Mail” on side containing address and all other sides.

How to Find Zone Numbers for Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express™ and Retail Ground®

1.Know and keep handy ZIP Codes of frequently used mailing addresses. Refer to the ZIP Code and Post Office Directory to find the right ZIP Code for any postal address in the United States.

The first three digits of the addressee’s ZIP Code are known as the prefix (the sectional center facility of address). For example, the prefix for ZIP Code67679 is 676.

2. Contact your local post office and obtain an Official Zone Chart for determining Zones.

3. Locate on your Official Zone Chart the first three digits (prefix) of the ZIP Code of the mailing address. The Zone number appears to the right of the prefix.Notice that consecutively numbered prefixes having the same Zone number are frequently grouped together.

4. Using this Zone number, refer to Rate tables below and compute postage based on weight of package and the rate categories.
