NSC Acquisition of the Educational Market

• MGH no longer providing the educational market with first aid training

• June 1, 2014 NSC began marketing to new educational institutions for new adoptions

– Primary market – career schools and 2 and 4 year Colleges and Universities– Primary adoption times September – November (Spring) February – April (Fall)– Primary titles: First Aid, CPR and AED, Advanced First Aid, CPR and AED and Bloodborne

Pathogens

• January 1, 2015 MGH will no longer be able to sell to current educational training centers and instructors

• NSC and MGH are currently in a transition process:– 228 training centers– 1,069 instructors

– Do not understand compliance issues regarding proximity– Top purchase drivers are delivery, quality of materials and

reputation of the provider– 85% of respondents are happy with their provider– Companies are unlikely to switch unless there is a change in

price, scheduling or service issues – NSC has poor brand recognition– 40% use outside instructors– 40% use in-house instructors
