Getting Started

Connect your Wireless router to theinternet and plug in your computer toLAN port 1 as shown in the diagram.

Open your browser and typehttp://192.168.0.1 into the address bar.You will be presented with a loginscreen as shown.

Log in using the admin password ofyour router (the user name defaultis “admin” with no password).3

The instructions below outline how to update the firmware on a D-Link DIR-300 dual SSID Wi-Fi router.

By updating the firmware, you will be able to share your internet connection securely. IMPORTANT: You must

have downloaded the latest DIR-300 firmware from http://www.tomizone.com/downloads to your computer.

You will be presented with themain screen of the router.

Click on the "Maintenance" tab

Click on the “Firmware Update”on the left side bar.

5STEP Click on the "Browse" button

and select the file containingthe new firmware from thefolder you saved it in.

Click the "Apply” button.

6STEP Wait for the counter to get to zero.

DO NOT unplug the router as thefirmware is updating.

You will be presented with themain screen of your router.

Click on “Wireless Setup”on the left sidebar and then,

Click on the “Wireless ConnectionSetup Wizard” button.

You will see the steps on this screen.

Click “Next”.

Log in using the admin password ofyour router (the user name defaultis “admin” with no password).7

9STEP Choose a name for your “private”

network – this name is for yourprivate Wi-Fi network.

Click “Next” when done.

10STEP Choose your security setting for

your Private Wireless Network.Please consult your D-Link manualfor the settings to suit your devices.

Follow the instructions andClick “Next” when done.

11STEP Ensure “Enable Tomizone

Wireless” box is ticked andset a name for your Tomizone(you might put in your cityname or simply put in Hotspot,the choice is yours).

Click “Next” when done.

12STEP Check your settings. If you are

satisfied with the SSID names,

Click “Save”.

13STEP The settings will be confirmed

and the router will restart.

15STEP If you are an existing Tomizone

account holder simply enter yourusername and password and presslogin, then go to step 13.

If this is your first time to Tomizoneyou will need to Sign up.

Click on “sign up now” locatedunder the login button.

Login orSign up

16STEP Signing up is simple and takes less than a

minute. Once you have signed up, you willthen proceed to step 13.

14STEP IMPORTANT: Now you need to

activate your Tomizone onto theglobal network. MAKE SUREYOUR ROUTER IS CONNECTEDTO THE INTERNET.

Click on ‘Tomizone Setup’on the left panel.

You will then see red textwith “Not Yet Activated”.

Click on the “Activate” button,which will take you through tothe Tomizone website to enterin your details.

18STEP Once activated, you should be able to see the

Tomizone ID in the Wireless Connection settingsof your computer. Open your web browser whenconnected to this SSID and you should get a welcomescreen from your Tomizone Hotspot. Anyone can loginto your public Tomizone Hotspot and you will startearning revenue from paying customers.

You can also give free internet access to your friendsby simply adding them to your “Friends List” on youraccount, all you need is their Tomizone username.For more information, login to your account atTomizone and click on “Friends List” in your mainaccount screen.

Go to www.tomizone.com/support and click on “how to connect to Tomizone”to learn how your Tomizone Hotspot can be used to make money and howto offer free access to friends.

17STEP Activate your Tomizone and tell the World where it is!

This step takes less than a minute and once completed,you’ll be “in business” for Hotspot customers touse your service.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN AN AFFILIATE CODE FROMYOUR PROVIDER OR RETAILER, ENTER IT ON THISSCREEN AS REQUESTED.

After filling out the details on this screen, Click on “Activate!”and your router will reset and be on the Tomizone network!
