Table 3: Indicative Summary of Costs for Inspect and Test Accreditation
Units of competencies for: R Level C Level
Fire sprinkler systems $1,890 $3,345
Fire pumpsets $1,405 $1,890
Fire hydrant systems $1,205 $1,690
Fire detection and alarm systems $1,405 $1,890
Gaseous fire suppression systems $2,090
Pre-‐engineered fire suppression systems (non-‐gaseous) $1,505
Portable fire equipment and fire hose reels $2,290
Fire and smoke doors $1,305
Fire seals and collars $1,305
Exit and emergency lighting $1,205
PLEASE NOTE: These costs represent the maximum costs for attaining competencies for accreditation through FPA Australia. It is considered that costs will be less as: 1. FPAA membership discounts will apply. 2. Many individuals holding required units or appropriate experience can progress directly to assessment therefore saving training costs. 3. Group assessments will be available through FPA Australia via individual quotes that reflect a company's specific needs. 4. The units are included as core units and electives in Certificate II and Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
These costs do not include fees involved in enrolling in a full Certificate II or Certificate III qualification. 9
