Day 2 & 3.
Tarangire National Park.
9am collection from Legendary coffee Lodge by your
private 4 x 4 safari vehicle and Tom, your tour leader.
Leisurely 90 minute drive to:
Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephant and buffalo. The huge wet lands are habitat to an amazing array of bird life indigenous to this area. As you explore Tarangire park an exciting world of the wild opens up; lions sleeping under Acacia trees, herds of animals grazing in the shade, maybe spot an elusive leopard high
in the branches of a baobab tree. Stop for a buffet lunch with refreshing cold drinks, then onwards for your afternoon adventure. Make your way to Olivers camp as the sun starts to sink. Oliver's Camp is located in the remote southern section of the Tarangire National Park, in the park´s unspoilt wilderness zone far away from other lodges/camps. Off-road game driving and walking safaris are allowed in the wilderness zone. The camp is close to the stunning Silale swamps. Due to its remote location, days can be spent
without meeting many, if any, other tourists. The 10 guest tents of Oliver's are well spaced, ensuring a feeling of exclusivity and intimacy. The camp design provides a classical bush experience of the surrounding nature & wildlife. All tents are en suite overlooking the Minyonyo
floodplains. Each with their own private veranda. Dinners are served in the dining tent or under the Tarangire sky. The camp crew has been a close team for many years and this clearly shows in their deep knowledge of the park and the quality of food and personal service. Walking safaris: Oliver's Camp offers the unique
opportunity to leave the vehicle behind and share the earth of Tarangire NP with its wildlife. Walking safaris are guided by experienced walking guides and an armed ranger accompanies the walks as well as your experienced tour leader. Guests learn about nature, wildlife behaviour and animal tracks on walking safaris. Although animals are usually spotted on walking safaris, the goal is not to get as close as possible to the wildlife, but rather to observe their undisturbed behaviour. Walking can best be done in the morning or afternoon. Participation in walking safaris is at own risk and
participation of children is at parents risk. Night game drives: Night drives are operated on a
daily basis and leave the camp around 6:30 pm. Night drives are about spotting nocturnal animals and experiencing African Wilderness by night.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Crater Lodge.
After breakfast you will be driven by your safari driver and Tom in your 4 x 4 safari vehicle to Ngorongoro Crater. Meander around the edge of the crater visit a Massai boma/village along the way. Then onwards until you reach the World famous Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Perched high on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater the views from the lodge are simply breath taking Nowhere else on earth will you find all the trappings of an elegant baroque African chateau - brocade sofas, gilt
mirrors, beaded chandeliers and
panelled walls - and be instantly transported into one of the most famous African landscapes with just one glance out of the window.
In this place of dramatic contrasts, where Versailles meets Massai, the beautiful setting ensures the dramatic interior of your suite blends perfectly with its stilted thatch architecture.
Enjoy Sunset drinks on the veranda as the sun sets over the distant mountains followed by a delicious 4 course dinner with fine wines. And your wonderful night of slumber in your private ethnically inspired cottage with a crackling fire to keep out the chilly night air.
Day 5. Ngorongoro Crater.
Early morning wakeup and your drive around
the misty crater rim arriving at the
Ngorongoro gate as the day starts. Descent
into the crater floor, 110 sq miles packed full
of animals, this caldera was once one of the
biggest stand alone mountains in Africa, then
50 million years ago it erupted, leaving a hole
now rich with vegetation and game. The
biggest unflooded and un broken Caldera in
the world. A most amazing natural wonder.
Spend the morning and early afternoon
exploring the crater and its wildlife. Maybe spot a rhino, the herds of game and the prides of lion as they
sleep under the trees or try for a kill. Stop for a wonderful buffet lunch in an acacia forest on the Crater floor
with cold drinks – maybe an ice cold glass of wine.
Late afternoon ascent and make your way back to Ngorongoro Crater lodge. And another fabulous evening
in the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
. Day 6 & 7. Legendary Camp. Serengeti. (or similar depending on time of year)

Legendary Camp

will be met on arrival by a new guide and 4 x 4 vehicle. Drive with Tom to Legendary camp, game viewing
along the way as the guide drives through the bushland. Spot herds of wildebeest and plains game. Huge
herds of zebra following the wildebeest. Arrive at camp to unpack and settle in, a delicious lunch awaits or
maybe lunch in the bush. Siesta, afternoon game drive, evening showers and drinks around the fire.
Legendary camps are situated in different locations throughout the Serengeti at different times of the year
all the areas are prime for the huge herds of game scattered throughout the Serengeti. Large cats will be
following the great herds taking advantage of the stragglers as they fall behind. Private en suite tents with a
shaded veranda overlooking the Serengeti will be home for 2 days. Early morning tea or coffee brought to
the tent on request each morning to sip on the veranda before the start of each day. Your experienced tour
guide and drivers know where the best places are to follow and watch the game.
