Sheriff Scott Southerland and his
wife Teresa attended the CSLOA Ice
Cream Social on Sunday April 29.
We had a booth with safety materi-
al to hand out. Also in attendance
was Officer Jimmy Green, Officer
Mike Clark, Officer Chad Williams,
Officer Bill Hamilton and Sgt.
Bernie McGaha.
It was a great turn out and the ice
cream was wonderful. It was fun
to be involved with the CSLOA.
THEY ARE DOING A GREAT JOB!!!
MANY THANKS TO THE CSLOA!!!
MOTORCYCLES ARE ALREADY HIT-
TING THE ROADS!!!! LIITERALLY.
DON’T END UP LIKE THIS ONE!!!!

HERE AND IN DEPUTIES AT
SERVICE CSLOA SOCIAL
IN THE CURRENT RULE BOOK ON PAGE 5 UN-
DER FIREARMS IT STATES “ NO HUNTING
OR THE USE OF FIREARMS SHALL BE PERMIT-
TED WITHIN THE CSCD. THE USE OF PELLET,
B.B. GUNS AND BOW AND ARROWS IS
PROHIBITED.
Last fall we had a B.B. gun take the rear glass
out of a Ford Explorer. If that had hit a child I
hate to think what the results would be.
People have also found fired arrows in their
yard beside of their walkways.
SPRING IS HERE!!!!!!
Time to clean up our lawns and burn,
burn and burn. Remember if you are
burning leaves and limbs you must stay
with the fire with a hose and tools to
put it out. The fire must be completely
out before you leave it. CHECK WHAT
SMOKIE SAYS BEFORE YOU LIGHT
IT UP. IF HE IS HIGH, DON’T BURN
FIREARMS, BB GUNS AND
BOWS AND ARROWS CAN
NOT BE FIRED IN CSCD

EMERGENCY 911
OR
812-988-6655
For a little history, pictured above is
Officer Ray Johnson with his daughter
Kimberly Johnson. Between them is
the first K-9 with the Brown County
Sheriff’s Office ROCKY. Officer Ray
Johnson was a reserve for the CSCD
and had the first K-9 trained in drugs ,
tracking and apprehending the bad
guys. They were an asset to the CSCD.
THEFTS LAST WEEK
This past week our officers in-
vestigated 2 stolen boats. One
is the paddle boat to the left and
the other 2 were kayaks. All of
these were taken on Cordry
Lake.
Officer Mike Clark worked the
paddle boat and one of the kay-
aks. Both juvenile suspects
were caught and the boats re-
turned. Officer Randy Taggart
worked the other case and re-
covered the other kayak. The
case is now in the hands of the
juvenile authorities.
This was a call of suspicious activi-
ty by one of our residents.
GREAT JOB MIKE, RANDY and
THE CALLER!
