Before fire is even visible, automatic fire detection and alarm system provides the earliest possible warning of a developing emergency situation.

It facilitates the safe and swift evacuation of people, it can

summon the emergency services, provides accurate

information concerning the location of the fire, and where

installed, can deploy fixed fire suppression systems to stop

Which type of Fire Alarm Detection System?

There are different types of fire alarm and detection

systems, including:

– Conventional Systems

– Intelligent Analogue addressable systems

– Wireless Systems

– Integrated systems with BMS and Security Systems

Depending on whether a system is designed to protect

the building and its contents (Property Protection) or there

for the safety of the occupants (Life Safety), Chubb will help

you plan and design a system best suitable for your needs.

Fire Monitoring

67% of all major fires occur at times when buildings are

either closed or unoccupied.* After 7pm your building is likely

to be unoccupied. If a fire alarm rings, will anyone hear it?

Fire alarm monitoring by Chubb’s dedicated network of Alarm

Receiving Centres (ARCs) ensures a rapid response to any

alarm activation. In the event of a fire, the alarm sounds, and

a digital signal is sent automatically to the ARC within seconds,

immediately enabling the appropriate emergency response.

Alarm and Suppression Systems

Chubb can design single source system integration, including

scalable platforms from single risk protection to large

networked systems protecting many hazards.

Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems

Gaseous fire suppression systems that suppress fires quickly

without harming equipment, or the facility. Chubb are not tied

to any specific type of suppression system or agent allowing

us to always pick the correct type of suppression agent for

the application. Clean Agent Systems are used for a variety

of office and industrial applications.

Carbon Dioxide Systems

Ideal for use in unoccupied spaces, CO2 systems rapidly

suppress fires by a combination of cooling and oxygen

displacement.

Inert Fire Suppression Systems

Inert Suppression is used for a variety of office and industrial

applications.

Fire Telephone, Disable Refuge and Toilet Alarms

Chubb will work with customers to

accommodate ‘refuge’ areas within the

fire alarm system design, these are safe

places where people who cannot use

fire escapes can stay to wait for the

emergency services. Disabled Refuge

systems can be connected via a Fire Telephone system,

used to call for help and aid in determining where assistance

is required.

Chubb can design disabled toilet alarm systems, which

provide, in the event of an emergency, a ceiling pull cord

to activate audible and visual alarms for individuals to seek

assistance. Fire alarm systems can be designed to

accommodate all types of needs - ensuring your building

is safe for all.

Voice Alarms and Public Address Systems

Chubb voice alarms are integrated in to your normal fire

detection and public address systems. They are designed

to provide clear and calm warning messages in the event

of an emergency and have been proven to substantially

improve evacuation response times to fire alarm or terrorist

alert situation.

Room Integrity Testing

Fire alarms systems are designed to

work when you need them to - in the

unfortunate case of a fire , one of the

common causes for the failure of a

system is the ‘Integrity’ of the protected

room, i.e. its capacity to hold gas.

Chubb will conduct a Room. Integrity Testing to ensure

your protected area is well sealed and safe.

Emergency Lighting

Chubb can install and servicing

emergency lighting, which is required

for use when the supply to normal

lighting fails enabling safe exit from

a building. Luminaries should be

installed to emphasise potential

hazards, change of directions, exit points and to show the

location of manual call points and fire fighting equipment.

Gas Detection

Chubb offers a range of reliable gas monitoring equipment

suitable for the risk, which can monitor a range of toxic

gases, combustible gases and oxygen in a wide range

of applications where safety matters. Early warning

systems mean action can be taken to disperse or

shutdown dangerous levels of gas before it ignites

or overcomes people.

installation services, from code-

compliant testing and maintenance

to 24-hour emergency service.
