Training in Acquired Structures

As the frequency of actual fires continues to dwindle,

it has become increasingly more important for the fire

service to take advantage of acquired structures for

training—utilizing both live-fire and non-fire scenarios.

Dick Johnson developed this program as a project at

the National Fire Academy. It is also part of the State

Certified Instructor Fire Curriculum.
