According to his ADM 363 he joined up in 1926 for 12 years. In 1938, he
transferred to the RFR to be recalled to the RN at the outbreak of war but remains
on the RFR lists. He is put forward for the RN LS&GC in 1942 but is turned
down because he is still on RFR strength. The RFR LS&GC is granted in 1944.
Then in March 1945 he signs up again full time with the Royal Navy and is
issued with a new number, to complete time for his pension, at which point all
of his service is taken into account so he hands back his RFR LS&GC and is
granted a full Royal Navy LS&GC. He served on the cruiser, HMS Euryalus in
the Mediterranean during the war. A very interesting group £150-200

document is dated 16 May 1939, Berlin and is signed on the bottom right. The
