Importance of the FAFSA

You might be eligible for financial aid that you weren’t aware of (loans, work-study). Additionally, FAFSA is the first step in many funding applications.

US citizens and eligible non-citizens are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by March 2nd each year… But, better late than never!

Did you know? The GGSE is awarded departmental Block Grant funding based on the school’s enrollment determined by FAFSA submissions. When more students complete the FAFSA, more money is provide to the GGSE for distribution!

CSU Forgivable Loan/Doctoral Incentive Program

The purpose of the program is to increase the pool of individuals who show promise of becoming strong candidates for California State University instructional faculty positions with the motivation, skills, and experience needed to teach a diverse student body.

After participants receive their doctoral degrees and obtain a qualifying instructional position in the CSU, a portion of their loan from this program will be forgiven every year.http://www.calstate.edu/hr/cdip/
