CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

Saturday 7 December

Join us in the launch of this exciting holiday season with the wonderful tradition of switching on the Christmas tree lights. Make the start of Christmas truly magical with a festive toast, classic carols and live entertainment set at the resort entrance, under the magni�cent Banyan tree.

Indulge in our famous Sunday Brunch, Bubbles & Beats, adorned with festive touches as our signature restaurants bring their greatest specialities together to create an expanse of live cooking stations, local and international favourites and an entire room dedicated to sweet treats.

This gourmet experience is enhanced with free �ow of beer, sparkling wine or champagne. Feel the vibrancy and excitement of a Latin street market combined with all the luxury and sophistication of a Shangri-La event. Embrace the festive atmosphere with friends and family, complemented by live music and the best in homegrown entertainment. Featuring Mr. Love, on 1 December, our highly acclaimed local singer who has performed on several international stages including the UK’s Open Air Festival, La Nuit de L’océan Indien in Paris, as well as in Australia, Switzerland and Italy to name a few. This remarkable Mauritian talent fuses several types of music including RnB, Sul, Reggae, Dancehall, Seggae, Blues, Zouk and of course the traditional Sega.

On 22 December, we welcome Zulu, also known as Michel Bavajee, the legendary singer, songwriter and founder of the successful local group Blackmen Bluz. Showcasing the diversity of Mauritian culture and the multi facets of the islands in the Indian Ocean, Zulu was propelled on the international music scene in 2014 with his famous ‘Metisse’ song.

Catch Santa in the tropics as he makes his way from the North Pole with an entrance to remember at the main stage (Belvedère). Children should gather at Le Bazar at 09:15 before proceeding to the main stage to receive their special gift followed by fun-�lled activities throughout the day.

Ring in 2020 with music, dancing and a Latin feast The dining venues of Le Bazar, Safran, Kushi and Republik Beach Club & Grill combine their culinary genius for this one night only to create two glorious dining areas. Welcomed with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, guests will join the celebratory feast and be treated to an astonishing selection of �avoursome and inventive Latin gourmet delights along with �ne festive favourites, served in a sumptuous bu�et-style across the dining venues.

Indulge in a wonderful gastronomic feast with dazzling starters comprising of seafood, duck liver, deer terrine, salmon, lobster and a selection of ham. A ceviche and tacos station will be manned by our kitchen experts while the other Chefs will prepare their all-time speciality such as the pan-fried foie gras, duck magret and pan-seared sea scallops. Guests can witness the live carving and grill sections with salmon, roasted poultry of Bresse, suckling pig, black angus beef rib eye, pork ribs grilled Peruvian style and lamb skewers with cinnamon pineapple. To enliven this Latin vibe, a Spanish paella and a tuna Basquaise-style stations will be staged. A vast array of tantalizing desserts ends the feast on a sweet note.

SEASHORE LATIN VIBESDine in a waterfront setting full of joy and celebration at Republik Beach Club & Grill, with a vibrant Latino atmosphere right on the beach. As the warm tropical air washes over you, enjoy the best Reggaeton beats of DJ and music producer, Polin. Originally from Dominican Republic, DJ Polin is renowned all over Europe and is working in collaboration with Sony Music and other celebrated artists such as Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam and J Balvin. He will be joined by local sensation, DJ Jimmy Gassel, who is also actively performing in several clubs in France.

For those who want to party all night long, the celebration continues until the early morning in the Orchid room, specially transformed into a dance�oor.

Start the new year as you mean to go on. Join us at 07:00 at the Hibiscus bay for an energetic start to 2020 with a fun �lled swimathon in the azure waters of the Indian Ocean.
