Change your life and become an acupuncturist. We will support you on each step of your unique journey. Our courses combine the academic achievement of a degree with the education and training required to become a confident acupuncturist. The NCA is the North’s only independent acupuncture College. We are partnered with Middlesex University and our accreditation with the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board ensures you will be eligible to apply to the British Acupuncture Council when you have qualified.

We have been educating acupuncturists since 1988 and are dedicated to providing a highquality education for all our students. You will learn in depth about Chinese medicine, develop many practitioner skills, and grow and change as a person throughout your studies. The course integrates your learning in class and clinic, bringing together traditional Chinese and orthodox medical perspectives and focusing throughout on developing you as an acupuncturist. You can choose between weekend or weekday options, full or part-time.

We are passionate about teaching Chinese medicine, which is founded on many centuries of sensitiveexploration of the energies and functions of the body-mind, combined with careful observation of the underlying forces and patterns of the natural world. Applying these principles enables you to understand the patterns of disharmony in your patients, and to choose for each patient the best treatment to restore balance, resolve symptomsand promote health.

As a practitioner your whole being is engaged in the treatment process. The development of asubtle awareness of oneself and others, an inner focus and a calm mind and spirit, have always been central to the development of practitioners in the East and ensure that you grow and develop into a great acupuncturist.

Our "hands on" approach is crucial. At the heart of our College is an excellent teaching clinic which is openevery weekday and serves our local community. Chinese medicine is based on centuries of clinical experience, and theory and practice are closely linked. Our students are in clinic from the start of the course, with close support from our outstanding clinical supervisors. You will learn a range of approaches to acupuncture, enabling you to develop your own style. We know our highly integrated approach creates skilled and confident acupuncturists who will go out to serve their communities and make a difference.
