Building and sustaining working relationships and partnerships within the business community is central to our focus on growth opportunities and sustainability. C-Res team members are actively involved with key community organisations, business chambers and industry groups to ensure positive engagement with our stakeholders.

Nationally, the Local Buying Program operates in all BHP Minerals Australia operational footprints - including BHP Mitsui Coal and BHP Mitsubishi Alliance in Queensland, Mt Arthur Coal in New South Wales, BHP Olympic Dam in

South Australia and BHP Western Australia Iron Ore.

Key achievements and engagement activities for the last quarter have included –

h Successful Meet the Buyer engagement events held in association with BHP in Western Australia, in the towns of Port Hedland and Newman

h Successful turnout at the Olympic Dam Meet the Buyer event attracting BHP buyers as well as LBP suppliers from throughout Roxby Downs, Far Northern and Upper Spencer Gulf regions

h C-Res CEO and C-Res Board members meeting and networking with BHP in South Australia and Western Australia to strengthen their understanding of WAIO and Olympic Dam buyers’ needs as well as identifying opportunities for local business communities

h BHP, BMA and BMC buyers, C-Res and LBP suppliers from throughout the Bowen Basin celebrated the year that was at end of year events hosted in Blackwater and Moranbah

h C-Res Business Development team meeting with BHP in Queensland and New South Wales to identify and promote the opportunities available to small locally-based businesses in the BHP, BMA and BMC footprint

h Queensland Local Buying Foundation approving eight funding applications for Round 4, 2019

h New South Wales Local Buying Foundation approving two funding applications for Round 4, 2019
