Summer Camp is a great opportunity for

students of all ages to grow in their faith.

Towne South believes in the power of camp so

much that we pay $50 per student to go! We

send students to two different Christian camps:

Roanoke Christian Camp in Washington, NC and

Camp Rudolph in Yale, Va. Complete

information and registration is available at tscoc.com/summer-camp. Pick up a

Summer Camp card at The Hub that has the $50 promo code you will need when

you register online. Contact either Sissy (elementary) at [email protected] or

Corbin (middle/high school) at [email protected] with questions.

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!

SAVE THE DATE AND PARTICIPATE! WELCOME TO THE TOWNE SOUTH FAMILY

VBXtreme TEAM 2018 will be here before we

know it! This week of fun and sports is designed

for all kids who have completed Kindergarten

through 5th

grades! Let’s face it; today, sports

are a huge part of our culture as millions of

school-age kids are on sports teams from the time they are preschoolers. So, it

just makes sense to take advantage of sharing something that so many of our

Towne South children already enjoy. At the same time, it affords us a special

opportunity to reach out and build relationships with the kids in our community

and their families. This year’s curriculum offers quality sports training in soccer,

basketball, cheerleading, and flag football. While becoming better athletes, the

children will also learn what it means to be part of a team, and hopefully how to

be a part of the greatest TEAM on earth…God’s Team! We are also excited to

offer this year’s sports camp to preschoolers ages 4 years to Kindergarten. The

children must be toilet trained to attend. Because of space, there will be a cap of

25 children for this age group; so it is first come, first served! We are opening

camp to our Towne South family first, so get signed up today at the HUB!

We had a great VBXtreme Team Meeting last Sunday evening!

THANK YOU to all who attended! We are on our way to filling

the needed roles on this vital team. This will be a week of fun

and fulfillment as you invest in the young people of this church

and community! If you are in interested in taking part, please

check out the VBXtreme table in the foyer, where you will find

applications to sign up for a VBX job, and background applications for those that

we don’t already have one for. Please turn these applications in at The Hub. Also,

all volunteers are considered coaches or assistant coaches, and we are set apart

by wearing GREY T-shirts. You can get a coach T-shirt for the discount price of $5,

but you have to sign up by June 17th

in order to secure one. Please sign up for

your T-shirt at The Hub and leave the money with the Hub helpers . If have any

questions, see Sissy.

Bring a side dish and drinks to share this

afternoon and come fellowship with your

church family beginning at 4 PM as we

celebrate our high school graduates. We

will meet between Pearl A. Presley Hall

and the boat docks on the campus of MACU. Lots of fun activities are planned!

There will be boating, paddle boarding, tubing, kick-ball, softball, corn hole, food,

and much more! You don’t want to miss it!

SUNDAY ON THE RIVER IS TODAY!

Last Sunday, June 3, Jason and Tina Pharr

and their children, Adison and Brady, placed

their memberships with Towne South; and

we are excited that they chose to join our

church family! Please take a moment to

greet them and welcome them today when

you see them!

Today, Towne South will honor this year’s high

school graduates! During first service, please enjoy

the slide presentation. During second service, all

our graduates will be presented on stage!

Congratulations to all our amazing young adults for

their accomplishments!

The Greeters Ministry is seeking a few new volunteers!

There is a need for people to serve once per month

during first service (8:15 to 8:50 and 10:00 to 10:15) to

greet Towne South families and our visitors with a

handshake or hug and give them a bulletin. Visitors

may also be given a quick tour of our facility, including

The Hub, children’s area, the all-important Coffee Bar, and the worship center.

Our greeters are the first and last impression many new people will have of

Towne South Church of Christ. If this sounds like something you would like to do,

please contact Bob or Lori White at 252-619-4626 or 252-722-3940.

We are organizing a trip to the Sight and Sound Theatre

in Lancaster, PA October 25-27, 2018 to watch the

musical stage adventure "Jesus”. Inclusive price per

adult for the package is $310. Price includes a room for

two nights, hot breakfast at the Clarion Inn, show

tickets for “Jesus” at the Sight & Sound Theater on

October 26th and transportation on the Towne South bus. Half is due by July 22,

with the remainder due by September 23. You may register online at

https://tscoc.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/138093

You are cordially invited to the Justin Shaw

Welcome Home Cookout/Pool Party

Celebration at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 14th!

The celebration will be held at Paul and Kelly

Schuellin’s home, 830 NC Hwy 343S, Camden, NC.

The TSCOC Teens will be hosting the event by

providing hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixin’s. We extend a special

invitation to all those who supported Justin via our recent CARE PACKAGE FROM

HOME donations. Please RSVP at The HUB no later than JULY 8th with the

number of family members and the side, dessert, and/or beverage you plan to

bring. Wear patriotic or camouflage colored clothing to add to the

festivities! Sunscreen, pool toys, bathing suits and towels are recommended! For

questions, contact Susanne Edwards at 252-335-4911.

Towne South is sponsoring a blood drive on

Thursday, July 19 from 3 to 7 PM in our

auditorium! When you donate blood, platelets,

or plasma, you make a major difference in

someone’s life. Patients who need regular

transfusions, and those whose needs are

unexpected, count on donors like you. They are

very thankful for your gift, as are we! To make it convenient for your schedule,

you can choose a timeslot and an appointment will be made with the American

Red Cross in advance for you. Stop by The Hub today and make your time

selection! Thank you for giving the gift of life!
