Final For British Literature For your final in the class you will be required to turn in a portfolio of sorts. In the past it has been done in a connecting quilt but you can do it however you choose as long as all the information is in it. You need to select 10 pieces of British Literature (either discussed in the class or done on your own- if you select your own run them by Ms. J first) and create a tile for each piece (hints the quilt)- a tile is also like a two page spread in a portfolio or a webpage in a website. Each tile must have: Title, author, one quote that is important, picture, summary, how it reflects the society of its time (or how it connects to another piece of British Literature), and a character list. The summary and reflection part should be 6-8 sentences each and MUST be in your own words! If you plagiarize this project you will get a zero and most likely will fail the class. Each Tile is worth 38pts for a total of 380pts and you get an additional 20pts for how neatly all of them are put together. Literature Read/Discussed/Watched this Year: Beowulf Canterbury Tales Shakespeare (sonnets and plays) Gawain and the Green Knight Dracula John Donne Poems Andrew Marvel Poems Robert Herrick Poems Katherine Phillips Poems Paradise Lost “A Modest Proposal” Pride and Prejudice Frankenstein William Butler Yeats “Second Coming” Time Machine Monty Python V for Vendetta Personal Novel
