Town of the Blue Mountains, MAYOR……continued Gained trust and respect from First Nation band leaders, actively supporting and integrating their

cultural norms into the Town’s policies and practices. Created and encouraged consensus and garnered support with First Nations Band Leaders to

preserve the Plater Martin archaeological site – Petun Native Village. Acted with tact, integrity and diplomacy as the Town’s leading spokesperson interacting with print,

TV and radio media from across Canada and the US after a fatal winter accident involving 5 teenagers. Assumed crisis management lead to actively and effectively address the tragedy, serving as the

conduit between family members and media while mentoring distraught teens, creating an informative environment where respect and trust for the bereaved was acknowledged.

Recognized as an environmental and community ambassador, actively portraying a commitment to preserve park and natural heritage lands for today and future generations.

Championed respect in the workplace, minimizing verbal and written abuse from the public to staff or Council members personally interacting with the concerned citizens to amicably resolve their issues.
