Training of 25 journalists on Fact-checkingand debunking rumoursA training seminar for bloggers andmanagers of minority-owned onlinecommunities was conducted by CongoCheck in partnership with Amour AfriqueCongo on Fact-Checking in times of healthcrisis.Broadcasting of 30 minutes of dailyannouncements with awarenessmessages on the Ebola virus disease via 2radios [5 minutes in the morning, 5minutes at noon and 5 minutes in theevening/day=1800 minutes (30 hours/2months)]Conducted an awareness campaign in thefield during the Amani Festival, whichwelcomed more than 36 thousandfestival-goers in 3 days.
After the reimbursement received from Facebookfollowing the Kinshasa activities (financed by CongoCheck in October 2019 via to the grant received fromFacebook), it was possible to continue the field activities,in particular the media campaign, the publication of Fact-Checks, the training of journalists and managers of theFacebook and Whatsapp groups and sensitization throughposters and billboards was carried out by deployingCongo Check teams in the field, in particular in largegatherings following the refusal of poster authorizationby the Ebola response teams.

of debunking misinformation through the publication
of fact-checks; the publication of explanatory videos
in response to rising rumors; visuals summarizing the
fact-checks and interviews in local, national and
international media in order to attract several echoes
on the crisis of misinformation during the tenth
epidemic of the Ebola virus disease and the promotion
of the Fact-Check Ebola program.
