    Project Introduction What is a Bar?

    Bar is a retail business establishment that serves alcoholic drinks forconsumption on the premises.Group E, Division 2 (Business and Mercantile in nature)Who are the users of a Bar?

    The users of the bar are the general public and usually adult. However users weremainly affect by the types of bar and the services that a bar give, (e,g. gay bars.)

    Background:

    The term "bar" is derived from the specialized counter on which drinks are served.Patrons may sit or stand at the bar and be served by the bartender, or by cocktailservers.Bars provide stools or chairs that are placed at tables or counters for their patrons.Some bars have entertainment on a stage, such as a live band, comedians, go-godancers, or strippers.Bars which offer entertainment or live music are often referred to as music bars or

    nightclubs.

    The 70S BISTRO is still and currently located at 46 Anonas Street, Project 2, Quezon City.

    Owned by Ben Galindo, Charlie Jayco, and Renard Bartolome. Open 7 p.m. TO 2 a.m,Monday to Saturday. For reservations you can contact them through landline 434-3597.The reputation that the 70s bistro have for almost 21 years is really unquestionable andthe proofs are clearly visible. It serves as bridges for some OPM artist in sharing theirmusic.

    History and background of the client/company?

    One of the oldest live-music venues in the city, the popular 70s Bistro that is hiddenaway in a suburban residential QC neighborhood. It was opened on December 16, 1992.The bar has seated, fed, watered, and entertained many for two decades.

    Building analysis and justification

    The buildings current condition are not bad at all. The fading exterior paints areexpected to be replaced by a new color that will harmonize with the nature of theproject. The interior space is also enough to accommodate spaces like bar, stage, anddining area. Theres also a seating area outside the building. The chosen building is located near the entrance of Eastwood Citywalk. It is a 2-storeybuilding currently housing the Somethin Fishy Buffet Restaurant.

    Where you can be who you are

    Business Image or Concept:

    The quotation Where you can be who you are which is written on theestablishments signage can simply give a clue whats inside. The 70s Bistro catersalternative music for years. For the exterior the faade has stone finishes, a Frenchstyle main door and wooden flush emergency door. And for the interior the wall isdecorated with artworks showing different notable musicians such as the Beatlesand Ozzy Osburne . Theres also a mural of the companys logo at the back of thestage .The interior is in traditional style that gives old school ambiance to the customers.Old looking furnitures can be found. The acoustical ceiling is in plain black with

    pendant lighting and halogen lamp that produces a dim lighting effect. The colorsused are black(ceiling & lighting), yellow(ceiling light) orange-blue green-white-lilacand orange yellow (wall finish paint), maroon(flooring, bar and reception counter),red(stage), brown(chairs, tables, flooring and counter tops)

    Products And Services

    70s bistro opens every Monday to Saturday, 7:00pm - 2:00am. Having daily live performancesby famous bands and artist in the country. They also held special events.

    Customers can have option to drink by the bar, or better yet reserve a table in the mainseating area in front of the stage beforehand though reservations are valid only until 9 p.m.For more privacy, get a table discreetly situated behind the wooden railings.Parking is off street. Payments are all cash basis. Hand foods can be dine in or take out. Theyalso serve different and unique food. Their Food menus ranging from appetizers, vegetarian,meat, seafoods dishes, pizza and pastas. They serve alcoholic and non -alcoholic beverages.

    The famous hippie peace sign that serves as companylogo that can be seen as a backdrop in the stage of the bar.

    Target Customers?

    A bar that welcome the all ages, gender, and genres. Good for kids (with adult supervision),teenagers, adult and young at heart. Also ideal for groups and individual visit. Open for anyreservation and can be also use for special occasion.

    The building is easy to find and goto because; Eastwood has a gooddirectory and way findings to guidethe visitors.

    The building is open to the twomajor roads in Eastwood city.

    The building has 3 entrance/exitdoors. One main door at the front,one service door at the right of themain door and one service door atthe other side of the building.

    Big and wide enough to be designedas music bar.

    Big and wide enough to put up aspacious stage and dining area.

    No off street parking.

    There are columns that arelocated at the center of theopen area of the building (willbe dining area)

    In foot traffic this is the very first

    bar or nightclub that the peoplemight pass and other rival bar islocated at least 20metersfarther.

    In foot traffic also this is thelocated near adjacent to otherfood establishment in theEastwood.

    The credibility and popularity ofthe establishment (70 s bistro)

    already attract customers. The popularity of Eastwood in

    terms of nightlife and party alsoattract customers.

    Wide enough to cater a largenumber of customer. (also haveexterior space for dining)

    Will be the only music bar thathave live performances ofdifferent popular artist.

    There are also other bars around the

    area. such as; the EdenNightclub, TGI fidays, Graffiti HipBar, and the Distillery.
