PROPOSED SOLUTIONDevelop a system which allows the faculty to

create, modify and store questions which can be grouped together to form sections and these sections can be grouped together to form tests/examinations.

Section and Questions are configurable .Allow Students to write the test when ever they

want.Build test automatically based on the professor’s

preferences.

CHAREACTERSTIC OF THE PROPOSEDSYSTEMIn comparison to the present system the proposed

system will be less time consuming and is more efficient.

The online examination system is stable while students complete a test .

Answers can be saved in real time (if a power failure occurs the answers must be saved up to that point).

The proposed system is very secure as no chances of leakage of question paper as it is dependent on the administrator only.

The logs of appeared candidates and their marks are stored and can be backup for future use

CONSTRAINTSAs this system is based on client server

technology, so for normal operation minimum of 256 MB RAM will be required on all clients.

Server OS should be Windows XP/Vista/7.Client PC should be Windows

9X/NT/WorkStation or any latest version of Windows with latest service pack.

FUTURE SCOPEScope of this project is very broad in terms of

other manually taking exams. Few of them are:- This can be used in educational institutions

as well as in corporate world. Can be used anywhere any time as it is a

web based application(user location doesn’t matter).

No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.
