The City of Winnipeg’s expenses included incremental costs for the Winnipeg Police Service, Winnipeg Transit and other city services. Economic Development Winnipeg received funds from the Manitoba Government (through Travel Manitoba) and the Special Event Tourism Fund, which were used to help offset costs incurred by the City of Winnipeg related to policing, transit, permitting and other city services.
