Isis Garstang Final Music Video Edit Evaluation For my final edit of my music video I did some changes on the rough edit video it was quite bright and sunny but in the final edit I changed that lighting so it looks dark and gloomy but you can still tell that it’s daylight even though I have changed the brightness on the video. I think that it looks better with the lighting dimmer because it gives it an eerie effect plus it goes better with the song that I picked as well.

Final Music Video Edit Evaluation

For my final edit of my music video I did some changes on the rough edit video it was quite bright and sunny but in the final edit I changed that lighting so it looks dark and gloomy but you can still tell that it’s daylight even though I have changed the brightness on the video. I think that it looks better with the lighting dimmer because it gives it an eerie effect plus it goes better with the song that I picked as well.

In the final edit I changed where I put some of the clips so it wasn’t the same as the first video, I tried to put clips in places that would go with the song so that when they are watching the video the clip at the time will relate to that park of the song. By doing this the video will flow better and the video will go with the song instead of having a video that has nothing to do with the song which wouldn’t make it a good video.

I think that the final edit of the video was better than the rough edit because I improved the way it looked and by changing the effect of the lighting and position of the clips makes the video look better because it changes the feel of the video and goes better with the song. By changing the effect of the lighting makes the video stand out more than the rough edit because it relates to the video better than if it was all bright because the song is darkish so having a bright video wouldn’t work as good as a dark video.

I changed the speed of the video and slowed it down so that it would go better with the song because the song isn’t that fast and the video was too fast to go with the song. For the camera techniques I used close up’s in most of the scene like in the picture at the top of the screen on this scene I did a close up of her lighting and blowing the smoke out her mouth, by doing that we can see the smoke better and helps you see that she has no emotion on her face. In most of the scenes in the video I did wide shots of her walking towards me so the close she gets you can only see half of her and a wide shot of the church so you can see some of the grave stones around the church. Throughout the whole video I only did wide shots and close up because doing wide shots so when filming the video you can see the filming and everything around it which is better because you see more of the surroundings instead of just seeing the shot, doing the close ups means you can see things better and it gives you more of a feel to the video and it also works better with the song.
