I chose this because I had brainstormed ideas and the best ideas were in the style of a music video Synopsis of Idea (content, narrative, genre) The video will be a Performance and narrative based music video to accompany the song Yes by LMFAO. The video will be a parody style video that creates humour in an effective way by following the lyrics of the song and acting it out as they say them but with a comedy twist of making it the opposite of what the lyrics say. Target Audience? (demographic NOT age range) The video is aimed mainly at Teenagers and Young adults because it is similar to other music videos aimed at this audience. I would say that the video is mainly aimed at males however the good thing about my idea is that the target audience range is fairly wide. Target Audience Needs? The particular target audience requires a certain level of professionalism however they also enjoy a comedy element as long as the jokes are appropriate and not just silly. The conventions typical to this target audience range for the genre include things like parties, girls, alcohol and work related humour. For a parody video to be popular it is important for all the important conventions of a usual music video to be understood and put into reverse in a tasteful way. How will your project meet the needs of your target audience? (Make reference to content you think will appeal to your target audience) My project will achieve the needs of the target audience by looking professional and following the conventions of a general video aimed at this audience. One key thing that makes my project different and stands out from others is that I will make it comical by taking the generic style of most music videos and using it to make a joke of most songs already on the market. This should appeal to the target audience because in a regular music video for a pop song the artist makes themselves look good and appear to have a great life so this will all be reversed in my own video however the song will still be talking about the success of the character. I will use settings that look scruffy and un-appealing and make the character wear a suit and gold chains to emphasize the point of the video. What production techniques will you use to realise your project? To create my project I will need to use a camera and tripod in order to film a lot of the detailed shots I need. I will also need to use lots of editing software such as Adobe after effects and Adobe Premiere pro. To begin with I will use software such as mind genius and Microsoft word to gain research on existing music videos and the comedy genre. I will also use them to plan my ideas for my own video. I will then fill out risk

Media Format (film, documentary, motion graphics, photography, animation, graphic design etc)

The media format for my project is Music Video form. I chose this because I had brainstormed ideas and the best ideas were in the style of a music video

Synopsis of Idea (content, narrative, genre)

The video will be a Performance and narrative based music video to accompany the song Yes by LMFAO. The video will be a parody style video that creates humour in an effective way by following the lyrics of the song and acting it out as they say them but with a comedy twist of making it the opposite of what the lyrics say.

Target Audience? (demographic NOT age range)

The video is aimed mainly at Teenagers and Young adults because it is similar to other music videos aimed at this audience.

(Make reference to content you think will appeal to your target audience)

My project will achieve the needs of the target audience by looking professional and following the conventions of a general video aimed at this audience.
