Did you know that there are over 200 million children in slave labor right now? Boys Without Names by Kashmira Sheth is a thrilling tale about one boy’s journey to escape a sweatshop with child slaves during the 1990’s in India. Gopal gets tricked into leaving his family and finds himself building picture frames for a big price-his life. In his journey to find escape, the reader gets to know his kahani or personal journey. Most importantly, Gopal teaches the sincere ability to be willing to do ANYTHING for one’s family. There is a child side to positive labor because children are sometimes the last resort for a family’s survival, they are able to work physically, and they can always go back to school and get an education after the family is stable.
