Film trailer deconstruction The rewrite

The first scene is a title of the movie name and the two main actors who are in the film. In the background there is happy festive music to show its a happy film.

After this the next title shows who have made and produced this film, which for this film are lions gate and film nation

Then next few cuts are different camera shots and angles of the landscape and scenery. They use establishing long shots and also as we see on the right a low angle shot to show of the palm trees.

Main character watching videos of himself on the Internet gives indication of the plot of the movie showing that he used to be famous and how his life has changed since then not just mentally but also physically.

These two title scenes show some inside to the plot and some back story to help the audience understanding what is happening, it is used to save time from make the previous scenes which would lead up to this.

An extreme close up shot of him typing on his laptop and also diegetic sound of the clicking while he types on the keyboard.

An extreme long shot is used to show the landscape of the school he is at and too show the students to give off more of a feeling for the scene.

Over shoulder shot of main character to show him teaching his student to give off more of the impression that hes teaching and makes the plot more believable.

They use more titles towards the end of the trailer to almost repeat the first title they used, they show the actors names again to show what famous actors are in it and attract more people and also the title so its fresh in peoples minds so they can look out for it in the future.

Another quick scene after the finishing titles to give off a comedy aspect and makes people smile so it seems as if this film will be good and make them happy, it gives them a happy thought to go away with and makes it fresh in the audience mind.
