Reality Based Films Since September 11, 2001 we have seen an
increase in war films Nowhere near the amount of war films made
during WWII and the Vietnam War. Generation Kill, being one of many
films based on books with roots set in reality, has given rise to
many other films which are similar. Jarhead and The Hurt Locker
also depict recent events in Desert Storm and the War on Terror, in
a way preserving many peoples feelings during this time period.

Documentary War Films War documentaries of the past have become
the history of those wars, helping to bring documentary works to
the national spotlight The recent war films show signs of ambiguity
rather than support for the wars. Will current documentaries be
seen in the same light as the past ones? Austin Carpenter
