Silk lace in lovely bois de rose hue, taffeta with sweet bouquet design, garland & flower decors (Ottolenghi, Milano), bois de rose silk tulle (Zecchini, Milano), black nylon tulle

Lace in appliqué form; parallel topstitching with 1 cm spacing

Tunic A-line style. Scoop neckline, 7/8 length. Construction featuring the hand application of lace, three layers of (different)fabric sewn together with 1 cm parallel topstitching.Skirt with straight line, no waistband. Same type of construction as for tunic.Hat in natural straw. Large size, dome style. Hand sewn.Flowers in silk organza.

While lines are essentially simple – as in gently flaring tunic and straight knee-skimming skirt – this outfit succeeds in capturing all the aristo allure of once-upon-a-time lingerie, elegantly sensual, exquisitely seductive though not openly sexy.What works the special magic is the delicate bois de rose hue. Yet most of all the trick is in the airy lightness of the fundamental material, the tulle that is taken to the next level on the fascination front thanks to the gorgeous lace appliquéwork, the fine horizontal topstitching, the garland & flower ornamentation, the sublime layering with taffeta.
