Mission To deliver superior returns from finding, developing and operating gold/copper mines.

Vision To be the Miner of choiceTM. We will lead the way in safe, responsible, efficient and profitable mining.

An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is underway to assess potential social and environmental impacts of the proposed Waisoi project. The EIA will also recommend mitigation measures and outline management plans.

The EIA process will help the Fiji Government decide if the proposed Waisoi project can be built in an environmentally acceptable manner. A key component of the EIA is the social impact assessment which will consider potential impacts, mitigation measures and opportunities.

If the Fiji Government’s decision is positive, the NJV will determine if the proposed Waisoi project can be operated safely and economically, and in an environmentally sustainable way.

Environment

The NJV has an environmental management plan in place to manage impacts of its ongoing exploration activities. Environmental baseline studies are underway in the project area as part of the EIA process.

Safety and health

The NJV is committed to the safety and health of all people involved in the business. All activities are undertaken in accordance with the NJV Health and Safety Management Plan.

Local hiring, training and development

The NJV employs local people where relevant skills and experience are available, and provides appropriate training and development.

Economic contribution

The NJV contributes to the Fiji economy and local communities in a number of ways including through engagement of services, employment, payment of rents and rates to the Government, payment of compensation to local landowners, and implementation of community and educational assistance programs.
