METAPHOR

Examples:

SIMILE

Compares one thing to another, but uses like or as.

Examples:As brave as a lion

Hyberbole

An exaggeration that is used to create an effect or make a point.

Examples:

PERSONIFICATION

Something not human, described as if it were.

Examples:
