The GreenON Rebates Program is delivered by the Independent Electricity System Operator. Products must be purchased from and installed by a participating contractor. To be eligible for a GreenON Rebate, ask for an R-value of at least 20 for basement and wall insulation. Attic insulation must have an R-value of at least 50 (you must install a minimum of R-20 to qualify).
A well-insulated home is a comfortable home
If your home has drafty rooms or you have higher than usual heating and cooling bills, insulation is an easy, immediate solution.
Insulation is a tried and true way to improve home comfort and efficiency, and advances in technology have made it an even more convenient way to reduce energy costs, improve year-round comfort and help address climate change.

Lock out leaks and insulate
Talk to your GreenON participating contractor about the importance of air sealing to prevent drafts when you are adding insulation. GreenON Rebates are available for both.

How to qualify
To qualify for rebates, you must own a detached home, townhouse or semi in Ontario. If you rent, you must have the written permission of the landlord. Follow these steps:

Work with a participating contractor to purchase and install eligible insulation and air sealing1

2 Your contractor submits the rebate application on your behalf
You validate that work is complete, submit your proof of purchase and receive your rebate cheque in the mail in approximately 8-12 weeks
