Dear Graduates,
Congratulations to each of you for achieving this part of your journey and advancing on your education and career pathway. Your graduation is a significant moment and loudly proclaims your interest in a better future. You have completed a major step of your path, and you are set to continue to excel onto what calls you next. Some of you will start a career in which you are now skilled. Some will continue on to a four-year institution and excel in your education. Some will pause and reset to discover that your path ahead is still uncertain. All these possible scenarios are acceptable. You do not have to have all the answers! None of us do! What is next is yours to discover and that is ok. Because you have risen to the immediate challenge and excelled. You have climbed a mountain and deserve the chance to pause and reflect. To take in the glorious majesty of a tremendous vista, and momentarily savor a job well done!
You have achieved so much! And, in a time with unprecedented complications and interruptions. None of us could have ever imagined that we would find ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic. Your graduation is proof positive of your resilience and dedication. Each of your have proven your grit and fortitude! A commitment to yourselves and to the dreams you have for a better future for you, your families, and your community. A global community - with global issues and complications. By staying at home, and studying from home, you made a difference in the health, and safety of the global community. Thank you! You worked hard, continued to persevere, and have proven to be an accomplished person. A graduate of distinction and valor. You are ready for what lies next – whatever that is!
