Field Hockey PLAYBOOK
INTRODUCTION
CDC Guidelines, State Public Health Department and Facility mandates must be adhered to. July, 2020
The 3Step Sports and EFH staff used several task force groups to complete this informative document that we will refer to as our “PLAYBOOK”. As with any playbook, there will be set pieces or plays that work for some opponents but not for others!
The intention of this is to provide a readiness for the 3Step and EFH Staff to have the ability to implement the different components of our PLAYBOOK. The COVID-19 challenge requires adaptability and innovative thinking in a very fluid and everchanging climate for youth sports. Our PLAYBOOK will provide the template from which we can pull applicable suggestions or recommendations that will promote the health and welfare of the players, parents, coaches, and staff!
The current CDC, Federal and State, local Health Departments and Facility guidelines will always function as our starting point for mandated procedures. The PLAYBOOK will provide us with the ways to execute the guidelines and implement best practices.
As with any playbook, we will be consistently evaluating, updating and tweaking as we learn and adapt to the current environment. Certain safety guidelines and protocols will continue to evolve and change as our states work through their phased reopening approach. We ask that you remain patient and continually check back with our event website for the most updated health and safety guidance for each week of camp.
We are grateful to the task force groups that provided us advice and guidance in each of their specific areas. We value the insight of each of our contingencies and welcome any input you may have.
